Amazing Pet Photos

Update: I did this little experiment a few years ago but in light of various current events I thought I'd try again to see if anything has changed.
Ok, I don't have any fool proof trick on how to take the cutest pet photos. You have been deceived.

You may have noticed that I post a lot of links to various Indigenous issues on Twitter... or you may not have. However, it was becoming glaringly obvious that no one cared. By looking back at my "Tweet Activity" (a function that I just recently discovered and after this little experiment is done one which I will go back to pretending does not exist) and I saw that these links were almost never clicked. I could post links to all kinds of other things that would get all kinds of attention but the paltry attention paid to anything that had an Indigenous slant was truly astounding. Heck, sometimes those posts would get "liked" but never get clicked on. I found this to be the absolute pinnacle of token gestures. So I decided to try this little Social Media Experiment by making the incredibly banal claim that I could help people take cuter pet photos. Who knows, perhaps this won't get substantially more action than my Indigenous postings. I will be a good little scientist and collect the data and report my findings.
I make no apologies for my little deception. Feel free to leave a nasty comment if it will make you feel better. Compassion and Empathy are two qualities that will save us all. Canadians pride themselves on being quite flush in both of these. However, it is only through knowledge and analysis that we can we possess either in significant ways. Truth and Reconciliation has to be more than just a media catch phrase. It needs to be a way of life that will allow this country to move forward in a way we can all be proud of.
Well, let's see how this all turns out, shall we?
And yes, it is a very cute photo of the cat I live with.
